Paola Ricaurte holds a PhD in Language Sciences in 2009 from the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH) in Mexico City.
Her research interests include the impact of technology on social life (cyberpolitics, digital literacies, digital activism) and methods of textual analysis (Discourse Analysis and Semiotics).
Currently, Paola is affiliated to the Cultural Studies Department at Tec de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus. She is a member of the research group Information and Knowledge Society (Tec de Monterrey), the research group Discourse Analysis and Semiotics of Culture (ENAH), the seminar "Identity, Social Change and Interculturality"(UNAM) and the Digital Humanities Network in México. She was a Visiting Researcher at the Latin American Studies Center of the University of Maryland, College Park (2011-2012).
